WE MADE THIS

ETHICALLY HANDMADE IN THE UNITED STATES BY REFUGEES

We Made This is a sewing and job skills training program designed for refugees in the Metro Denver Area focusing on self-empowerment.

Our mission is to unlock the courage and creativity of refugees through a multicultural sewing community by activating leadership and building sustainable partnerships.

ref·u·gee  /refyo͝oˈjē/  noun

a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.

Refugees often experience difficulty gaining employment due to a lack of formal workplace experience, familial and cultural barriers, post traumatic stress, and limited English language skills.

We Made This enables refugees to create better lives for themselves and their families through the development of sewing, production, sales, and entrepreneurial skills.

There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women.
